About This Build

The RX-79(G) Ez8 is one of those kits that means more to me than just the build itself. 08th MS Team was the series that really made me fall in love with this side of Gundam — the grounded combat, the gritty atmosphere, and the way the mobile suits felt like real war machines instead of flashy super robots. There’s just something about that world that always stuck with me. Design-wise, the Ez8 hits everything I love about older-school Gundam aesthetics. It has that blocky, practical, almost military-industrial look that gives it so much character. It feels rugged, functional, and built for the field, and that kind of design has always been way more appealing to me. For this build, I wanted the weathering to stay on the subtle side. Enough to sell the idea that it’s seen real use in combat, but not so much that it overwhelms the kit itself. I focused on keeping it restrained and natural, just adding a bit of wear, grime, and age to bring out that battlefield feel. In the end, I really love how it came out — worn, grounded, and full of the kind of personality I always imagine when I think of 08th MS Team.
